Why does the bill
never match the quote?
"Charged more than I was quoted", "surprise fee", "bait and switch": a quote that changes at checkout is the fastest way to lose a patient's trust, and a recurring theme in low-rated med spa reviews across the region. Here is what transparent pricing looks like.
A price is a promise,
or it is nothing.
Aesthetic treatments are priced in units, syringes, areas, and sessions, which leaves plenty of room for a number to move between the consultation and the front desk. Sometimes it is an add-on nobody mentioned; sometimes a "starting at" price that nothing ever actually starts at.
You should be able to know two things before you commit: what the treatment starts at, and what your specific plan will cost, in writing.
Three tests
of transparent pricing.
Apply them to any practice, including ours.
- Published starting prices on the treatment pages, not hidden behind a form.
- A written quote for your plan at the consultation, before anything is booked.
- Terms disclosed before you commit: memberships, deposits, and cancellation policies explained at enrollment or booking.
Starting prices on the page,
your plan quoted in writing.
Reviv publishes starting prices on its treatment pages, from per-unit pricing for neuromodulators priced per unit and quoted in writing to per-syringe pricing for fillers, and every plan is quoted in writing at consultation, before any treatment begins. The number you see on the page and the number on your written plan are the number you pay.
Reviv is a cash-pay practice; we do not bill insurance, and we accept major credit and debit cards. Memberships are governed by their own terms, presented and disclosed in full at enrollment, including billing cadence, any minimum commitment, renewal, and cancellation. The annual membership tiers and the monthly Ritual Club both spell that out.
For patients from San Bruno and Burlingame, that is what a visit to our Millbrae studio should feel like on the pricing side: no surprise at the desk, because the surprise was ruled out on paper at the consultation.
Where this applies,
treatment by treatment.
Asked at the front desk,
answered here.

Does Reviv take insurance?
