Why do visits start late
or get bumped?
Long waits, last-minute reschedules, and surprise fees are the third most common complaint in low-rated med spa reviews across the Peninsula and Bay Area. Here is what a well-run schedule looks like, and how ours works.
Your afternoon
was planned around it.
A treatment appointment is rarely a small thing in a day: time off work, a drive, sometimes childcare. When a practice double-books, runs an hour behind, or cancels the morning of, the cost lands on you. When the reschedule fee appears only after the fact, so does the frustration.
None of that is inevitable. It comes from how a schedule is built and how honestly its terms are communicated.
Four questions
before you book.
These separate a managed calendar from a walk-in queue.
- Is it appointment-only? Walk-in traffic is what makes booked patients wait.
- Who confirms it? A real person confirming a real time with a real provider, or an automated slot that may not exist.
- Can I choose my provider? If you cannot, you cannot plan around who you will see.
- What are the terms? Cancellation, rescheduling, and deposit policies should be stated at booking, not discovered later.
Appointment-only,
confirmed by a person.
Reviv is appointment-only. When you request an appointment through the booking page, you choose the provider you would like to see, and your appointment is confirmed after our team contacts you, so the time exists on a real calendar with a real provider before you drive to El Camino Real in Millbrae. No deposit is taken on the request form; where a deposit applies, the details are given at the next step.
Cancellation, rescheduling, and deposit terms are told to you at booking, not discovered afterward, and they are also summarized on the appointments and cancellations section of our terms. Our hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 AM to 6 PM, and Saturday, 10 AM to 3 PM.
We are a four-person team, which keeps the calendar honest: patients from San Bruno and Burlingame know who they are seeing and when before they book. If you ever need to move an appointment, the sooner you tell us, the more options we have.
Where this applies,
treatment by treatment.
